Since there's been so much talk about vampires lately (all thanks to Stephanie Mayer and her Twilight-saga) I decided to write about them a little.

I've had slight obsession with vampires ever since I was little.

At first I read The Little Vampire (Der kleine Vampir) when I was around 7-8 years. It's cute story about young boy, Anton who becomes friends with a vampire boy, Rydiger and his sister Anna. I know it's a childrens book, but I still have warm memories of it. (Nostalgy much)

Next was of course Dracula. It's one of those classics everyone should read sometime. I think I read it for the first time when I was 9. Not really childrens book, I know.. but I was already tempted by vampires at that time, so I wanted to read more about them..

Then came Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. Mmh.. beautiful vampires (gay vampires to say so..^^"). In her stories vampires aren't purely bad creatures. They fall in love, hate, remorse.. just like humans. You can relate to them easily and even cry to their stories.

And then, of course, Twilight saga. I can't help it, but I hate it. I've read fanfictions better written and I don't even want to THINK about the movie-versions.

And then of course there are hundreds of different films about vampires. Good, decent and pure horror (and I don't mean they're scary, just BAD)

Currently I've been watching Japanese drama, Koishite Akuma, which has a basic storyline same as Twilight. Young boy vampire falls in love with a humen woman. He should drink her blood before the next full moon, or he'll die, but the boy just can't 'cause of the new feelings his experiencing. (I really recommend watching, it's really good. )

I'd love to cosplay as vampire characters (I know I've done Aido from Vampire Knight already), but I've been thinking of doing Armand (from Vampire Chronicles). The only problem is, that I don't know if I want to buy wig only for doing him.. and I'm not even sure if I get someone to take pics.
